Realization of the informative function in the abstract of the thesis

The article deals with issues of document studies connected with the types of documents and their functions. General and special functions of documents are examined in the article: functions inherent in scientific documents and synopsis of thesis on the issues of Russian speech culture standards, compositional and speech patterns of the thesis. In conclusion it is stated that the abstract of the thesis is characterized by information compression.
