Christmas prose is a rich source of information taken from cultural studies allowing students to learn facts about material and spiritual culture, history, mythology, religious beliefs, philosophy and ethics of a nation. The specific of the works of Christmas literature is in the entwinement of cultural traditions, namely, in combining layers of paganism, Orthodox and secular life. This entwinement should be considered in the process of studying Christmas stories during classes of Literature.
