The article discusses the features of implementation of linguistic-cultural approach in English classes. Linguistic-cultural material helps to interest the student to learn the English language, to acquaint him with the culture of English-speaking countries. Analysis of English teaching textbooks has shown that a significant place in it is given to linguistic material. The implementation of linguistic-cultural approach in English classes stimulates students’ interest in language learning, helps to broaden their horizons.
