Effect of irradiation of male rats on the development of posterities of two generations

Study of antenatal and postnatal development of two generations of posterity of male Wistar rats which spermatides were γ-irradiated (60Co) with doses below those causing sexual sterility (0.5-1.5 Gy, dose rate 0.003 Gy/s) is presented. The greatest changes are found at embryonic growth of posterity of both generations. This means that γ-radiation causes genomic instability.
