Fulfillment of the need for solidarity by new territorial communities

The article presents results of the first stage of the study concerned with new suburbs of several Russian cities, which are the places of mass housing development and residence of the middle class. It is concluded, that there are special form of social solidarity and social environment in the new suburbs, different from the environment of traditional areas of big cities.
