Implementation of import substitution policy at power engineering enterprises in the new reality

The article is devoted to the analysis and assessment of import dependence of power engineering enterprises. The complexity of the implementation of import substitution policy in the engineering industry is the narrow focus of the production cycle. Special attention is paid to the problems of personnel shortages, depreciation of production facilities and the integration of Russian industry into international cooperation processes in order to strengthen the technological sovereignty and competitiveness of the Russian energy engineering industry. The low competitiveness of the products of domestic enterprises is associated with outdated equipment and technologies used in the production, a shortage of qualified workers, primarily in working specialties, etc. Based on the SWOT analysis, recommendations for overcoming them are proposed. In the difficult conditions of the new reality of the modern economy, it is proposed to solve the problems of import dependence in the industry in a comprehensive manner, including involving such a mechanism as preferential business regimes. The authors conclude that there is a need for cooperation and government involvement in creating conditions for the sustainable development of the industry.
