The project approach, as an activity to achieve specific goals, is relevant for municipal management to solve accumulated problems. The scientific and practical significance of the article lies in the formation of the author's position regarding the application of the project approach to solving the regional problem of population aging. The regional project «The Older Generation in the Context of Active Longevity» is aimed at developing and realizing the potential of older people, since the aging of the population has become one of the main regional problems. The systematic implementation of this project in the proposed areas will create a modern model of active aging for older people.
