Degree «Evicting the individuals who intendedly shirk work at the collective farms, and who live a sociopathic life and keep to parasitizing way of living» issued on June 2nd, 1948 by the panel of the Supreme Council of USSR: putting it into practice in the Rostov region

The paper explored the main point of the ‘anti-peasant’ Decree dated June 2 nd, 1948, the general contents and ways of implementing it in the Don River Basin. The study discovered the driving gear and practices of implementing the Decree locally, with the data summarized on the number of peasants being victims of political repressions round the Rostov Region.
