Considering the real and the unreal in the cycle of the stories by A.Pyatigorskiy "Stories and dreams" the author of the article analyzes various forms of the writer's consciousness, expressed in the text: dream - not dream - reality, memory - oblivion, the chronotopos forms of phsychologism, embodied in the images of the cage, dead-end, labyrinth and others, reflecting the character's concept of losing of wholeness of existence and of existence crisis. The space of reality and unreality, which includes the opposition of freedom - non-freedom, escapability - unescapability, faith - faithlessness, is organized by A.Pyatigorskiy according to the principle of the reference of the outer (real) world to the inner, personal (unreal) world.
