The article discusses the procedure for solving the problems of using real options in the process of designing information systems. Are established the changes in the external and internal environment of the enterprise-customer of the information system in the design process. The mechanism and method of evaluating real options is revealed. The distribution of typical real options by design stages is analyzed. An example of a comparison of options for designing information support for a small business is given.
