The revival of banking system in the times of the «New Economic Policy» (on the example of Simbirsk province)

The paper analyzes the formation and functioning of the financial and banking system in the period of the “new economic policy” in the framework of the Soviet system at the example of Simbirsk province. The authors focus their attention on the specifics of the organization of the revived banking sector, the funding arrangements which were depended on the form of ownership, as well as the goals and objectives of the banking system (raising funds through bank deposits).
