The analysis of the content of the monograph by A. V. Samokhina and A. L. Khudoborodova “At the sharp turns of Russian history: the formation of the political elite of the Chelyabinsk region. 1990-2000. The importance of the scientific development of this topic, a worthy source base of the research, and a deep historiographic analysis are noted. It is emphasized that the structure of the work proposed by the authors is logical, and the results of the study are justified, are of great scientific and practical interest.
