This review analyzes the attempt of the authors of the monograph to identify and characterize (evaluate) the main formative stages of the ecclesiastical court in Russia in the 11th-14th centuries. The reviewer examines the monograph thoroughly: its aims, structure, content, drafting style, readership, etc. With a delicate manner, she concurrently draws attention to certain aspects requiring, from her point of view, further clarification, which, nevertheless, generally do not detract from the significance of this scientific labor. The analysis of the monograph is accompanied by reviewers’ reasonings particularly concerning justice within ecclesiastical and secular proceedings. In conclusion, the reviewer highly commends the monograph and expresses the hope that the author group to will continue studies in this field.
