The review contains the analysis and characteristics and the content of the monograph is devoted to the closed atomic towns of the Urals in the Post-Soviet period. The review points out that the author continued his studies of the closed towns paying paramount importance to the social cultural sphere of these settlements and to the local self-government. Materials of the monograph disclosing the transition to the market economy and privatization, development of infrastructure in atomic towns deserve high evaluation. The book is written on the basis of archive sources and other materials that have not been used earlier.
