The review on the monograph: Nefedov S. A. How Russia became a backward country. Factors of formation of the phenomenon of industrial backgrowth in Russia in the XIX century

The review is written on the book by Professor S. A. Nefedov, in which he gives his interpretation of the problem, widely discussed in the historical and social literature, associated with the established opinion that in the 19th century Russia became a backward country and examines the factors of formation of the phenomenon of industrial backwardness in Russia. Having studied the economic history of our country in detail in recent decades and having written a large number of general works, he gives his own concept of this process, examining it in a discussion with a number of authors. The monograph is of a debatable nature and makes one take a fresh look at a long-established scientific problem.
