Verbal aggression as the violation of ecologicity in the political discourse

The ecolinguistic basis of studying the phenomenon of verbal aggression is discussed in the article. Having defined the concept verbal aggression, the authors treat it as a means of speech influence in agonal political discourse; a framework of communicative strategies and tactics of its realization in political interviews of Angela Merkel is established.
