Rare and protected kinds of medicinal plants flora Kabardino-Balkaria

The article contains data on 19 rare and protected species of medicinal plants in the flora of Kabardino-Balkaria, of which 13 are protected at the federal level. It is stated that the list of protected medicinal species is far from complete, it is proposed to supplement it with 6 more species. The inclusion of plants of official medicine in the list of protected plants presupposes their artificial cultivation to obtain medicinal raw materials. The change and destruction of the areas of medicinal plants leads to a decrease, and sometimes to the complete disappearance of species. The loss of even one biological species leads to a violation of the integrity of the entire ecosystem. Therefore, one of the most important problems of our time is the preservation of biological diversity.
