Reformation of the higher education in Ukraine at the beginning of the 1990's

On the basis of archival sources the article analyzes the reforming processes of the national system of higher education in Ukraine in the early nineties: formation of the network of higher educational institutions, development of the education structure, etc. The author considers and substantiates the relevance of the reforms.
