Regional security of the Northern Caucasus as a subsystem of Russian national security: politological aspect

The author reveals some basic elements of the Northern Caucasus regional security system as a subsystem of national security of the Russian Federation. The long-term and current factors influencing a situation in the region are stated. The political aspect of this problem is investigated.
