Regional economic policy - complex of legislative and economic measures, the regions aimed at the social and economic development

In this work the author considers regional policy as a complex of the legislative and economic measures directed on the solution of problems of regions and definition of their social and economic development. Definition of the concept "region" of Russia is given. The allocated strategic objectives of regional economic policy are analyzed and considered possible ways of development of regions. In the conclusion of the provided analysis the author comes to a conclusion that in modern conditions the course of an economic reform in Russia is defined by that the center of gravity everything is more transferred to places, that is to regions. Besides, the author specifies that at the regional level, as well as on state, there is a formation of a control system in general and foreign economic activity in particular.
