The article identifies the participants in social and labor relations that form the regional labor market, identifies the typology of regions in terms of the ratio of supply and demand in the labor market, analyzes the functions and highlights the internal and external factors that influence its formation. The study outlines the role of the state as a regulator of the social and labor sphere of the subjects of the Federation in modern economic realities.
