Regional power and religious institutes on the territory of the Republic of Buryatia in 1920-30s: the specificity and transformation of relations

On the concrete examples, the article examines specificity and transformation of the state and church relationships on the territory of the Republic of Buryatia in 1920s-1930s. The regional geopolitical and historical-cultural peculiarities determined evolution of these relationships: from partnership to confrontation. The paper gives examples of the main events of the period, such as state registration, renovation split, closure and elimination of the places of worship, anti-religious practices, etc.
