Regional dimension of civic identity (case study of the Krasnodar region data)

The article analyzes the civil identity of the Krasnodar region residents. It is concluded that the civic identity is a social relationship between a citizen and a state. Analysis of the empirical data has allowed to determine a place of the civic identity in the hierarchy of the regional population’s identities and to emphasize the most significant civil qualities. It is defined, that the leading role in the identities hierarchy of the Krasnodar region’s population is the civic identity, and the main qualities of a citizen is patriotism, knowledge of the historical past of the country, and the maintenance of state order.
