Regional aspects of state policy in the field of rural settlements’ development (case study of the Republic of Bashkortostan)

The paper deals with the state policy regarding the rural settlements’ development by studying the case of the Republic of Bashkortostan as a constituent territory of the Russian Federation. Mainly, the state policy in this field is considered in the context of the special purpose programs approach, according to which the author suggests some ways to resolve the existing problems. It is discovered, that creation of conditions for the rural territories’ development is the major aim of the state policy, the achievement of which will have a favorable effect for the economy of both a region and the country.
