Regional document flow of scientific publications in the RSCI, WOS CC and Scopus databases

The article presents the results of a study of the regional document flow of scientific publications in the databases WoS CC, Scopus and RSCI. The comparison was carried out on the example of four regions of the Russian Federation: Astrakhan, Arkhangelsk, Irkutsk regions and the Republic of Dagestan. The study showed that the representation of Russian publications in the WoS CC and Scopus databases differs from the RSCI data. It is noted that publications affiliated with organizations from small towns and rural settlements are poorly reflected or not reflected at all in foreign databases. It is concluded that the RSCI most fully reflects the Russian documentary flows of scientific publications from the regions of the Russian Federation, covering small towns and rural settlements.
