Regional and cultural basis for organized prostitution and women trafficking in the south-eastern countries

The articles objective is to reveal regional specifics of organized prostitution maintenance and to present it as a global, growing process which demands to be careful examined. On the basis of Russian and foreign sociological and criminological sources the article inquires into the typical for south-eastern countries ways to embroil women into organized prostitution network, backed with traditional gender discrimination. International movement against human traffic injects special dynamism to the study of prostitution as a social phenomenon with not only criminal, but also cultural and political support.
