Regional specific features of the Black Sea coastal geoecosystem management

Coasts are the major element in economic development of seaside regions. The coast condition depends from natural and anthropogenous factors. Legal coastal zone management mechanisms have the majority of the countries. Nevertheless, legislation distinctions and real practice of environmental management result in noticeable distinctions in achievement of the objectives of a sustainable development of coasts. The problem of integrated coastal zone management (ICZM) is to maintain the balance of socio-economic development processes and the processes that determine the coastal ecosystem states. Methods of achieving and maintaining for this balance have significant regional characteristics.
