Regional peculiarities of world museum institutions development

The growth of the number of scientific investigations in the field of theory and practice of museum development in our time is closely connected with increasing interest of state authorities, public and cultural organizations as well as of individual citizens in the problems of researching, restoration, preservation and systematization of cultural and historical heritage, ethnic and religious heritage belonging to native people and to other nations all over the world. There are different investigations of many scientists devoted to the study of theoretical and applied aspects of museum institutions development all over the world. However, there is not a comprehensive geographical analysis of the regional development features of the world's museum institutions across individual continents, countries and regions. That is why the article is focused on the museum institutions of different regions all over the world, namely on the regional peculiarities of their formation and development, localization and the level of provision of museum institutions around the world. The purpose of the study is a regional analysis of the modern development of museum institutions all over the world in the frames of different countries, regions, continents. The article deals with a specific problem: to analyze the peculiarities of museum institutions distribution all over the world in the frames of different countries, regions and continents, as well as to study the peculiarities of museums ratio per 100.000 people, to determine the main proportions and the ratio of different types and profiles of museums in the frames of countries and regions and to develop recommendations for optimization of museum institution development. This article is based on the UNESCO's statistical bulletins. The statistical, analytical, comparative-geographical, descriptive, literary, cartographic methods of investigations are used in this work.
