In article regional peculiarities of preservation steppe key biological territories and landscapes at Volgograd oblast are considered. The theoretical basis for allocation the key landscapes is created by physical-geographical division into districts. The special attention is given to studying the benchmark steppe geosystems of Donskoy and Shcherbakovskiy natural parks as the basic elements of regional nature protection skeleton.
