The article is devoted to the study of regional characteristics of labor productivity as an indicator of economic efficiency. The purpose of the study is to identify regions that are lagging behind in labor productivity, to identify the features of their development that constrain growth. The objectives of the study are to diagnose changes in this indicator, a comparative analysis by region, an assessment of the causes and factors of stagnation. The results are presented in the conclusions about the differentiation of regions, the decline in the index in both leading and lagging regions.
