HR management processes in the regions are considered as an object of research. The specificity of the personnel management system according to the institutional conditions of a particular region is shown. The hypothetical possibility of convergence of differentiating factors of regions, their leveling in the context of economic globalization, market integration, assimilation of market relations, mentalities and cultures of different peoples is substantiated. There is a tendency to atomize society, reduce collective forms of work during the transition to remote forms of work, work "at home", virtualization of collective communication on Internet platforms of social networks (Skype communication, online conferences), similar to the virtualization of monetary transactions and trading operations via the Internet. The theoretical substantiation of the noted trends and forecasting of their development is an urgent scientific problem. During the research, the content analysis method was used in the selection of scientific literature on the designated topic. The methods of systematic, statistical and critical analyses were used to compare the specifics of regional HR management systems. In generalizing the results and formulating conclusions, general scientific methods of induction, deduction, etc. were used. During the study, it was determined that the role of HR management in the future development of the digital economy will narrow with increasing functional importance. The research was conducted based on data from a number of international statistical organizations: the International Labour Organization, the Davos Economic Forum, the Russian Statistical Office, etc.
