The present paper focuses on the regional variant of French received as a result of interaction of sociolemes in the regional context. This interaction is based on the “linguistic habitus”, which is manifested in the existence of acquired schemes activated unconsciously. The regional French is an after-effect of the diasystem contact between the common French and its dialect; it is interiorized by the regional French-speaking socioleme and serves for the purposes of an appropriate regional “linguistic market”. The functioning of the regional variant is implemented within the framework of the social and territorial space during communicative interaction of its native speakers also called «social agents». The regional variant is characterized by regional features on different linguistic levels, among which lexical features are the most remarkable. Regional lexemes are not fixed in normative dictionaries or are supplemented with special marks.
