Registration of illegal real estate transactions: challenges in law enforcement

Introduction: the article is devoted to challenges in law enforcement related to improving effectiveness of criminal justice measures to combat the offences covered by Article 170 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Registration of Illegal Real Estate Transaction). Materials and Methods: the legislative base regulating the procedure of real estate registration, the data of judicial practice, statistics of the registered crimes under Article 170 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for the period from 2007 to 2017. As the methodological tools made empirical and linguistic methods of cognition, scientific and analytical approach, as well as special legal methods: formal legal and comparative-legal served as study materials.
