Regulation of liability for smuggling crime by laws of the Republic of Belarus: trends determined by the membership in the customs union

The article considers some approaches to the regulation of criminal liability for smuggling crimes in the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus determined by the membership in the Customs Union. The author reviews some articles of the Criminal Code of Belarus: Art. 228 "Contraband", Art. 229 "Illegal export or transfer for the purpose of export of objects under export control", Art. 231 "Customs duties evasion". The paper compares some regulations of these articles with similar regulations of the Criminal Codes of Russia and Kazakhstan.
