The author offers an overview of the legal acts that regulated financial and economic relations in one month - August 300, 200 and 100 years ago. When choosing an object of study, priority is based on round dates. And although such an approach is reproached to a certain extent, nevertheless it allows us to identify, reveal and better understand the trends in the development of Russian financial and economic law in the history of Russia. The sources of legal acts were the first Complete Collection of Laws of the Russian Empire, as well as the Collection of Legalizations of the Soviet Government.
