Regulation of interethnic relations in modern Russia assumes the transition to value politics based on dialogue of representatives of the state and municipal authorities, ethnic groups and national communities. A sociological analysis of regional practices related to the implementation of the Strategy of State National Policy in the Russian Federation until 2025 allows concluding that management activities in the field of interethnic relations is reactive and declarative. The authors mention the maintenance of persistent stereotyped views that the development of ethnic cultures will contribute to weakening the state-civil identity and increasing ethnic tensions.
