Advertizing as a historical source for the study of cinema culture of Chita in 1939 (on the materials of the "Zabaikalskiy rabochiy" newspaper of 1939 from the funds of the Center for Oriental Manuscripts and Xylographs)

This article analyzes the development of cinema culture in Chita using the ads published in the “Zabaikalsky rabochiy” newspaper. Cinema posters in this newspaper shed light on how movie theaters functioned in Chita, their total number, and work of the Chita department of Soyuzkinoprokat. They also contain certain information about the films shown at that time, about their time and content, children's films and programs.
