Areola reconstruction after mastectomy using permanent makeup: techniques and innovative approaches

The article presents the results of a study on areola reconstruction after mastectomy using modern permanent makeup techniques. The aim of the study was to examine the impact of the procedure on patients' psycho-emotional state and assess the effectiveness of the applied techniques. As part of the study, the "Return to Yourself" program was developed, integrating medical, cosmetic, and psychological approaches. Data analysis revealed a significant reduction in anxiety levels and an increase in patients' self-confidence, along with high aesthetic effectiveness of the procedures. The study emphasizes the importance of an individualized approach, the use of biocompatible pigments, and the adoption of innovative techniques. The results confirm that areola reconstruction using permanent makeup is not only an aesthetic procedure but also an essential step in the psychological rehabilitation of oncology patients.
