Cultural codes reconstruction of somatic concepts of the human head and face in the Russian fine arts of the XVIII century

To understand the essence of a specific cultural system, in this case, the Russian culture in the 18th century, the author suggests a study of the cultural code in the dialectical unity of essence and phenomenon. In particular, the article analyzes the elements of the somatic code, the concepts of the human head and face by case study of paintings and sculptures which as an art form are based on the integral image of the objective world, including the human himself.
