Religious education in the Russian Far East in the 1980s - early 2000s

The paper deals with the revival of the religious education system in the Russian Far East and its adjustment to the requirements of the Russian educational environment. Based on the archive data introduced for the first time, periodicals, Internet data, and publications, the author recreates the history of the first stage of development of Christian educational institutions located in the Russian Far East. The author determines the time frame for this stage and its specific features. The study presents the reasons for the emergence and growth of religious educational organizations in the Far East during the period under review (ideological vacuum following the destruction of the previous political system and state ideology; financial assistance from abroad aimed at the establishment of training institutions; the liberalization of legislation in this regard).
