Religiousness and moral consciousness of students

The article is devoted to the analysis of the role of students’ religiosity in the formation of their morality. The data obtained in the course of the sociological research allow us to conclude that the student’s religiosity has a great influence on his moral consciousness. The higher the degree of religiousness of a young person, the more moral qualities such as: sensitivity, humanity, justice, honesty, tact will manifest in him. It justifies the similarity of religious and moral requirements for human behavior. Religious commandments are largely voiced by the unspoken moral rules that exist in the entire civilized world. It is proved that students who are churched have a higher moral character than students with a low degree of faith and non-believers. It is noted that, despite the high degree of faith in God, there are few people with a high degree of religiosity among students. Most students are believers nominally, for the most part they do not support their faith by fulfilling religious precepts. Believers with a low degree of religiosity, for the most part, are conformists, both in the case of religion and in terms of moral consciousness. It is proved that, despite the fact that there are many students who consider themselves believers, their interest in religion is small, and their knowledge of the foundations of religion is rather superficial.
