Religious and secular aspects of education in Russia of the new age period (social and philosophical aspect)

The article studies the relation of religious and secular aspects of education of the New Age. It allocates various philosophical, methodological and ideological trends of the opposing tendencies in education (Old Russian family setting, Greek Byzantine, Old Believers', Catholic and Protestant), which led eventually to the reforms of Peter I and initiated secularization of education and brought secular aspects of education to the forefront.
