Religious components in contemporary Japanese anime

The purpose of this study is to explore religious components in modern Japanese anime. The author of this study undertakes content analysis and uses the comparative method. As a result, the author establishes the main religious components used in anime and also reveals the mechanisms that non-traditional religious movements use to spread their ideas.
