The reminiscence of the romanticism in the novel "The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov

The article is devoted to the issue of a degree and ways of reflecting the ideas of Romanticism in the one of the most famous novels of XX century - The Master and Margarita, written by Mikhail Bulgakov. Among the most crucial romantic ideas and themes are: the idea of freedom, idea of progress, the category of spirit, the concept of a hero, the theme of love, demonology and fantasy. In the result of the research, the author came to the conclusion that the motif of the conflict and the gap between the hero and the society comes to the fore. What's more, this situation emphasises the dualistic model of the world, which is a base of the novel.
