The roentgenological dynamics of distraction regenerate bone formation during limb lengthening using eight-fold division of distraction

The authors of the work demonstrate the results of the roentgenological studying the dynamics of osteogenesis in the process of leg lengthening in dogs using a transosseous osteosynthesis device in the mode of eight-fold division of distraction. It is shown that this mode of lengthening creates favourable conditions for formation of proper bone tissue and its subsequent reorganization. The results of studies allow to recommend the technique and the devices worked out for clinical use.
