X-ray morphological signs of lung hamartomas

The article discusses the X-ray morphological signs of lung hamartomas. We performed a retrospective clinicopathological and radiological review of patients diagnosed (2011-2022) with multiple hamartomas, lesions occurring adjacent to a coexisting malignant lung tumor, and tumors with predominantly extrapulmonary localization. 507 cases of lung hamartoma were analyzed. X-ray morphological signs indicate a heterogeneous structure of the neoplasm, with characteristic features, which can contribute to preoperative verification of the lesion and, consequently, improve the quality of medical care.
