The roentgen semiotics of the deficiency of femoral abductor muscles

The condition of the femoral abductor muscles has been studied in 26 patients with the hip pathology using methods of radiodiagnostics. The anatomical characteristic features of m. gluteus medius and m. gluteus minimus, revealed by contrast roentgenography (CR), computer tomography (CT) and ultrasonography (USG), demonstrate their major changes, particularly in cases of the defects of the femoral proximal end, those of bilateral dislocations of the hip and severe forms of coxarthrosis.
