Reorganization of the Kuban police in the 60-90's of the 19th century

The article deals with the reorganization of the Kuban police caused by the reform of Russian law enforcement agencies in the 60-90s of the 19th century. Due to the nature of Kuban as the Cossack region the forming and functioning of the Kuban police had its own specific features though were carried out under the All-Russian legislation. It is noted that Russian police left behind other European countries' police on some elements of service training. At the same time the difficulties of formation of the Kuban police, its shortcomings and attempts of local authorities to create police meeting the requirements of the time are shown.
