Reproductive quality and adaptive ability in bulls-sires of the Holstein and Red Danish breeds in the conditions of Altai territory

In the conditions of Altai Territory the reproductive and adaptive abilities in bulls-sires of the Holstein and Red Danish breeds as compared with ones of the native Simmental breed were evaluated. The authors determined the activity of carbohydrate, protein, lipid, phosphorous-calcium metabolism, morphological and biochemical blood characteristics, vitamin A concentration, acid-base balance, sperm quality and its fecundate ability during first semination of cows, clinicophysiological parameters of animals, functional state of liver and also natural tolerance. The bulls-sires were revealed the sperm of which permit to materially rise the cows fecundation during the first semination. The high adaptivity of bulls-sires of the Holstein and Red Danish breeds in the conditions of Siberia was noted.
