Youth Reproductive Intentions and Fertility in the Republic of Buryatia: Development Trends

The article analyzes the demographic situation in the Republic of Buryatia and identifies the main development trends. It examines the sex and age structure of the Republic’s population as well as the dynamics of the total fertility rate in recent years. The article characterizes key indicators of fertility and mortality in the region. In recent decades, a trend toward an increase in the age of mothers at the birth of their first and subsequent children has been observed. The article presents statistical data for the Republic of Buryatia, along with the results of a sociological study on reproductive behavior.
